{"id":1082,"date":"2013-08-14T19:51:45","date_gmt":"2013-08-14T19:51:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/loadsofrecipes.supernovawp.com\/?p=1082"},"modified":"2013-08-14T19:51:45","modified_gmt":"2013-08-14T19:51:45","slug":"chinese-braised-pork-belly-with-greens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/asian-recipes\/chinese-braised-pork-belly-with-greens\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese braised pork belly with greens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is one of the simplest recipes on the website, basically you take the pork belly, add it to a dish with Chinese flavours, whack it in the oven and let it do its thing, serve with greens for a bit of healthiness.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Servings<\/strong><br \/>\n4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking time<\/strong><br \/>\n3 hours<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n4 tbsp soy sauce<br \/>\n60 ml rice or cider vinegar<br \/>\n2 tbsp honey<br \/>\n2 star anise<br \/>\n1 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder<br \/>\n100ml Chinese rice wine (or dry sherry)<br \/>\n1kg boneless pork belly slices<br \/>\n250g greens (such as kale or cabbage)<br \/>\nsesame oil sesame seeds<\/p>\n<p>Heat the oven to 160C. Mix the soy, vinegar, honey, spices and rice wine (or sherry). Tip into a shallow baking dish that will hold the pork snugly. Add the pork and cover with foil.<\/p>\n<p>Cook for 2 and a half hours, adding a splash of water if it starts looking too dry.
