{"id":165,"date":"2013-02-03T23:21:41","date_gmt":"2013-02-03T23:21:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tezzatron.com\/loadsofrecipes\/2013\/02\/03\/lamb-and-sweet-pepper-sauce\/"},"modified":"2013-02-03T23:21:41","modified_gmt":"2013-02-03T23:21:41","slug":"lamb-and-sweet-pepper-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/italian-recipes\/lamb-and-sweet-pepper-sauce\/","title":{"rendered":"Lamb and sweet pepper sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a great pasta dish, I would never of thought of having lamb and pasta together but it works perfectly and the peppers add a nice sweet flavour<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves<\/strong><br \/>\n2<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking time<\/strong><br \/>\n1 hour<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n250g lamb neck fillet, diced quite small<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, chopped<br \/>\n2 bay leaves<br \/>\nGlass of white wine<br \/>\n4 plum tomatoes,peeled and chopped<br \/>\n2 red peppers, diced<br \/>\nSeasoning<\/p>\n<p>Cook the lamb into 1 cm cubes before frying on a high heat in olive oil for 10 mins with some salt and pepper, stirring often, until browned on all sides.\u00a0 Sprinkle in garlic and fry for a further minute or two before adding the bay leaves, then pour in wine and let it bubble until reduced slightly.<\/p>\n<p>Next add tomatoes and peppers, stir well. Check the seasoning, cover and simmer over low heat for 45-55 mins or until lamb is very tender. Stir occasionally and moisten with water if sauce becomes too dry.
