{"id":197,"date":"2012-11-04T15:07:50","date_gmt":"2012-11-04T15:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tezzatron.com\/loadsofrecipes\/2012\/11\/04\/chinese-style-beef-stir-fry\/"},"modified":"2012-11-04T15:07:50","modified_gmt":"2012-11-04T15:07:50","slug":"chinese-style-beef-stir-fry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/asian-recipes\/chinese-style-beef-stir-fry\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese style beef stir fry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Serves<\/strong><br \/>\n4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking time<\/strong><br \/>\n30 mins<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1kg beef fillet, sliced thinly across the grain<br \/>\n1 tbsp dark sweet soy (kecap manis see Cook&#8217;s tip)<br \/>\n1 tbsp cornflour<br \/>\n1 tbsp groundnut oil<br \/>\n8 cloves garlic, peeled<br \/>\n3cm piece root ginger, peeled and roughly chopped<br \/>\n2 onions, sliced<br \/>\n1 red chilli, chopped<br \/>\n1 tsp tamarind paste<br \/>\nJuice of half a lime<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rub sweet soy, cornflour and oil into the beef. Set aside.\u00a0 Whizz garlic and ginger together with some water to make a paste.\u00a0 Heat a wok until really hot.<br \/>\nFry ginger\/garlic paste until quite dry, then add onions and red chilli. Stir fry for a few minutes before adding the beef. Stir fry for a few minutes more until beef is cooked.<\/p>\n<p>Add more soy if needed and the tamarind paste.
