{"id":240,"date":"2011-10-22T09:20:20","date_gmt":"2011-10-22T09:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tezzatron.com\/loadsofrecipes\/2011\/10\/22\/creamy-sausage-and-triple-mustard-casserole\/"},"modified":"2011-10-22T09:20:20","modified_gmt":"2011-10-22T09:20:20","slug":"creamy-sausage-and-triple-mustard-casserole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/british-recipes\/creamy-sausage-and-triple-mustard-casserole\/","title":{"rendered":"Creamy sausage and triple mustard casserole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"style15\">1 tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li> 8-12 good quality sausages<\/li>\n<li> 1 large onion, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li> 250g chestnut mushrooms<\/li>\n<li> 1 medium cooking apple, peeled, cored and cut into small chunks<\/li>\n<li> 1 bay leaf<\/li>\n<li> 1 tbsp chopped fresh sage<\/li>\n<li> 300ml chicken or veg stock<\/li>\n<li> 2 tsp dijon mustard<\/li>\n<li> 1 tsp wholegrain mustard<\/li>\n<li> 1 tsp English mustard<\/li>\n<li> 142ml carton double cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat the oil in a large casserole dish or pan and fry the sausages until golden brown. Remove and add onions. Fry until soft and nicely golden. Add mushrooms and cook for a further 5 mins. Stir in apple chunks, bay leaf, sage and stock.<\/p>\n<p> Bring to the boil then return the sausages to the casserole. Reduce the heat, cover and gently cook for 20 mins, stirring occasionally.<br \/>\n Mix mustards into cream and season. Pour into casserole and increase heat.
