{"id":350,"date":"2011-11-10T16:37:46","date_gmt":"2011-11-10T16:37:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tezzatron.com\/loadsofrecipes\/2011\/11\/10\/tagliatelle-with-chicken-and-blue-cheese\/"},"modified":"2011-11-10T16:37:46","modified_gmt":"2011-11-10T16:37:46","slug":"tagliatelle-with-chicken-and-blue-cheese","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/chicken-recipes\/tagliatelle-with-chicken-and-blue-cheese\/","title":{"rendered":"Tagliatelle with chicken and blue cheese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 large chicken breast, cut into strips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>1 small clove garlic, chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>100ml white wine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>150ml double cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>120g blue cheese (Dolcelatte is ideal), cut into cubes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>handful of parsley, chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>some grated parmesan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>200g tagliatelle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>a small handful of toasted pine nuts to garnish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Proper comfort food but with a bit of class!<\/p>\n<p>Put a large pan of water on to boil.<\/p>\n<p>Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken strips until they are lightly browned. Add the garlic and continue cooking for a few minutes, stirring so the garlic doesn&#8217;t catch.<\/p>\n<p>Next, add the wine and, over a fairly high heat, bubble for a few minutes until the wine has almost&nbsp;reduced away.<\/p>\n<p>Add salt to the pan of&nbsp;boiling water and add the tagliatelle.<\/p>\n<p>While the pasta is cooking, add the cream to the chicken. Bring to the boil then reduce and leave to simmer for a few minutes. Once the cream has slightly thickened, add the blue cheese. Mix well and allow to&nbsp;melt over a very low heat. Once the cheese has melted, add the parsley, a handful of parmesan&nbsp;and some black pepper. Taste and add salt if needed but remember the cheeses&nbsp;are quite salty.<\/p>\n<p>Drain the pasta and add to the pan with the chicken.
