{"id":410,"date":"2012-05-29T20:03:08","date_gmt":"2012-05-29T20:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tezzatron.com\/loadsofrecipes\/2012\/05\/29\/balsamic-beef-stew\/"},"modified":"2012-05-29T20:03:08","modified_gmt":"2012-05-29T20:03:08","slug":"balsamic-beef-stew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/beef-recipes\/balsamic-beef-stew\/","title":{"rendered":"Balsamic beef stew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Serves<\/strong><br \/>\n4<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooking time<\/strong><br \/>\n2 hours<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>600g casserole beef, diced<br \/>\n2 tbsp plain flour, seasoned<br \/>\n3 tbsp olive oil<br \/>\n2 red onions, finely chopped<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves, finely chopped<br \/>\n2 tbsp tomato puree<br \/>\n150ml red wine<br \/>\n250g butternut squash, diced<br \/>\n2 red peppers, sliced<br \/>\ntbsp fresh thyme leaves<br \/>\n1 tbsp balsamic vinegar<br \/>\ngood dash of Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n500ml beef stock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This balsamic beef stew recipe is a fresh twist on the traditional version &#8211; give it a go!<\/p>\n<p>Toss the beef in the flour. Heat\u00a02 tbsp of the olive oil in a large casserole and fry the meat in batches until browned. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Add the remaining oil then fry the onions and garlic for five minutes or so over a low heat until soft. Add the tomato puree and cook for a couple of minutes then add the wine. Simmer for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Return the beef to the casserole then add the rest of the ingredients.
