{"id":56,"date":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","date_gmt":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tezzatron.com\/loadsofrecipes\/2011\/12\/11\/prawn-fritters\/"},"modified":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","modified_gmt":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","slug":"prawn-fritters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/fish-recipes\/prawn-fritters\/","title":{"rendered":"Prawn fritters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 tsp Chilli powder<\/li>\n<li> 100g Chickpea or gram flour (can substitute plain flour)<\/li>\n<li> 60g Plain flour<\/li>\n<li> Generous pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li> Cold water to mix <\/li>\n<li> 400g Raw, peeled prawns, roughly chopped<\/li>\n<li> 1 Garlic clove, crushed<\/li>\n<li> Small handful parsley, chopped<\/li>\n<li> Olive oil, for frying<\/li>\n<li> Lemon wedges to serve <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mix the chilli powder, flours and salt in a large bowl.<br \/>\n Slowly add the water, mixing all the time, using just enough to make a pouring batter (should be about the consistency of very thick double cream). Make sure all the flour is well mixed in. <\/p>\n<p> Add the prawns, garlic and parsley and gently mix through.<\/p>\n<p> Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large non-stick frying pan. Fry dessertspoonfuls of the prawn batter in batches until cooked and golden brown on both sides &#8211; about 3-4 minutes.
