{"id":71,"date":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","date_gmt":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tezzatron.com\/loadsofrecipes\/2011\/12\/11\/stuffed-poppadoms\/"},"modified":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","modified_gmt":"2011-12-11T02:41:50","slug":"stuffed-poppadoms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loadsofrecipes.co.uk\/fish-recipes\/stuffed-poppadoms\/","title":{"rendered":"Stuffed poppadoms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 Pappads (uncooked poppadoms)<\/li>\n<li> <\/li>\n<li><em> Stuffing:<\/em><\/li>\n<li> 1 tbsp Groundnut oil<\/li>\n<li> 1 Onion, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li> 1 tsp Finely chopped garlic<\/li>\n<li> 1 tbsp Finely chopped root ginger<\/li>\n<li> 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li> Quarter tsp ground coriander<\/li>\n<li> Half tsp turmeric<\/li>\n<li> 200g Raw prawns, roughly chopped<\/li>\n<li> 100g Boiled potatoes, roughly chopped<\/li>\n<li> 1 tbsp Lemon juice<\/li>\n<li> Half tsp salt<\/li>\n<li> 2 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves<\/li>\n<li> Pinch of ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To make the stuffing, heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion, garlic, ginger and black pepper and fry gently until the onion is soft and translucent. Add the ground coriander, turmeric and prawns and fry for 3-4 minutes.<\/p>\n<p> Add the potatoes, lemon juice and salt. Sprinkle with the chopped coriander and cinnamon. Set aside to cool.<\/p>\n<p> To make the poppadoms. soak the pappads one at a time in warm water until slightly softened. Lift out onto a clean tea towel. Spoon some mixture in the middle of the poppadom in a line and then roll (as you would a spring roll) tucking in the sides as you go. Place on an oiled tray and repeat with the rest.<\/p>\n<p>Heat oil for deep-frying in a suitable pan or fryer. deep fry a few at a time until crisp andgolden.
